It is the only DVD recorder with DVR functionality in the United States sold to the new digital TV standard ATSC work. The single DVR on the market, a digital tuner in the DTVPal DVR (which has a DVD player.) And the only other DVD recorder with digital tuner, which I know of are the Panasonic EZ28VK / EZ48VK and LG DVD + R video recorder ( DVD recorders that hang stored on DVD media only 2-4 hours of video quality). I used models from JVC and Samsung, but it seems that both have been discontinued.

Others /  cheapest “DVD Recorder ” available, but both have not no tuner or analog tuner only the older people to work after 12 June 2009.

Following these negatives, I can tell you that I once learned and fixed, to use it, was great and it works as expected. It seems the only DVD / HD recorder on the U.S. market that can record from an antenna will be left in place. As regard the restoration save more than $ 100 initially the cost of posting it on the disk.  ”

I recommend only using DVD + RW with this recorder, Magnavox H2160MW.
